This Is nowhere near as earth shaking, of course, as the news from Yellowstone Park and western west-ern Montana has been during the past week, but two ladies from the league attended the school board meeting last week and were appalled to find to what extent the lines of communication between be-tween the schools and the community com-munity had broken down. The league is making a study of the schools of Iron County this year and two ladies attended the board meeting, who are on the committee collecting material for this study. They found that the school board and the school faculty facul-ty members are very anxious to receive and use all constructive criticism. The League of Women Voters of Cedar City is very eager to rebuild re-build the lines of communication between the schools and the community as a whole as they feel this is one of the most important im-portant ways in which to improve our schools. |
