She was a past commader of the distabled Veterans Auxiliary No. 49 in Pasadena; past president presi-dent of the Degree of Honor 149 Alhambra, Calif., and member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 20 and past president of the Presbyterian Women's Association Associa-tion in Cedar City. Prior to moving to Cedar City Mrs. Schmitt worked for 25 years In social service work for the Los Angeles County Health de. I partment.
