Ham operators are given a license li-cense through the Federal Com-munications Com-munications Commission and are assigned a band that is set aside specifically for this type of operation op-eration by the FCC. In order to obtain a license operators must first pass an examination ex-amination that requires a know-ledge know-ledge of the Morse code both in sending and In receiving. Thei examination further asks ques- tions regarding radio theory and technology, dealing with circuits and other information that is necessary to operate a home radio ra-dio station. FCC does not let it go at that. A monitor is const aptly scan ning the ham band r.e.ng that the rules and regulvi.ns of the commission are co'iformed to, and each operator identifies himself him-self properly according e specification speci-fication of the commission. Ham operators have led. through their own operations and desires to Improve their own stations, to the development of many advances In the field of radio and electronics.
