Show I Ward Teachers Hold Special District Meet Monday evening the home of LaVand and Virginia Bauer was the scene of a ward teachers cottage meeting which was devoted de-voted to a consideration of practical prac-tical Christian religion. Twenty-one Twenty-one of the 22 men, women and children in the ward teachers district were present. Intense and profound feeling i gratitude grati-tude and thanksgiving were generated gen-erated by first singing "Ameri ca" and then the usual Christmas Christ-mas carols. Special group songs, duets and solos by the children were delightful A well thought-out talk on The True Spirit of Christmas Giving"- was given by Lloyd Limb, a priest. The story of the "Nativity" was given from recordings re-cordings by Danny Bauer, a six- year-old, assisted by his moth-ed. moth-ed. "I've a dear Little Dolly" was sung by Sonya Bishop, a four-year-old. Children singing in the group were: Dorian Bishop, Sonya Son-ya Bishop. James C. Bishop, Jr.. Bruce Bishop, Margaret Wade, Shlrl Wade and Danny Bauer. Sister Brlttanla Durrant explained ex-plained to the group the very distressing predicament the Hungarian Hun-garian people are in, explaining explain-ing the great need existing among them for the necessitler of life. Following this discussion, children chil-dren and adults gathered round the receptacle provided to receive re-ceive contribution! and gave freely to the Hungarian relief fund. Sister Raina Bishop was In charge of the program; Sister Virginia Bauer was in charge of the fund propect. Sisters Veima Thorley. Dora Wade and Ralna Bishop provided and served delicious de-licious refreshments. The invocation invo-cation was given by James Bishop Bish-op and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by R. L. Durrant Scott Jensen conducted the meeting. This is the fourth annual December De-cember cottage meeting held In this ward teaching district in the Cedar City Third Ward. Each year some worthy cause has been fostered by the district wherein the members extend-their extend-their Christmas cheer to some group or Individual who needs encouragement.
