Show First Prise Poem THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS Mary Ellen Edmunds Where has the meaning of Christmas gone; The one much deeper than laughter and song? Where is the memory of Christ so dear Who gave his life for everyone here? Born in a manger so lowly and mild. Who Is remembering this little child? He was the saviour of mankind. He healed the sick and gave sight to the blind. He lived a life filled with service and sorrow. That man might arise to a glorious glor-ious tomorrow; The rights that He gave were the greatest of all; Much greater, by far. than a book or a doll. He spread good cheer among all He met. Which Is what we must do, let us never forget. Let us all remember, at this time of year. And realize truly why Christmas Christ-mas Is here. |
