Show Livestock Show Assn. Announces New Policy Change Exhibitors at tlvj Southern Utah Livestock Show this year will be happy to know that they will not be required to present a health certificate on their fat sUx-k at the time they are entered en-tered in the show. According to Wallace Sjoblom, president of the show association this year, arrangements have been made for a veterinarian to inspect all livestock at the time that they enter the show. Any exhibitor having an animal not appearing to be in good health, will be asked to remove it from the show grounds. In addition to being checked at the show, however, all rams entered in the show must have been vaccinated for Blue Tongue not less than 30 days or more than a year before date of entry. en-try. All hogs not sold for slaughter must have been vaccinated with either (1) Anti-hog cholera serum ser-um and virus not less than 30 days prior to entry, or (2) modi-fled modi-fled live virus and serum not les than 15 days prior to euUy, (3) serum alone Just prior to entry. According to Mr. Sjoblom, all junior exhibitors should bring the duplicate copy of the entry form for livestock, inasmuch as it will be called for at the time the animals are weighed In. The original and duplicate must be signed by the FFA or 4 H leader, indicating that the Junior exhibitor exhibi-tor is enrolled in a 4-II club or FFA chapter. |
