""""" The first aid course, completion comple-tion of which entitled the boys participating to a standard First Aid card, issued by the National Red Cross organization, was conducted con-ducted by Glade Smith, Parowan, assisted by Dallon Williams, deputy de-puty Iron County sheriff. The course is a part of a continuing con-tinuing program of emergency training for the three groups, who have already completed training for assistance in searching search-ing for lost persons in the outdoors out-doors and outdoor cooking for large groups of people in times of emergency and disaster. Those who will receive the cards will be Explorers of the First Ward post, Ervll Asay, post advisor; explorers of Post 2340, Fourth Ward, Sheldon Olds, advisor, ad-visor, and scouts of troop 340 of the Fourth Ward, Douglas Manning, Man-ning, scoutmaster. Thirty-seven boys and advisors completed the course. The first aid course included instruction in all phases of emergency emer-gency first aid which might be needed at home, on the highway or in the out-of-doors. |
