Show Iron County Red Cross Chapter Revitalizes Program Red Cross activities of the Iron County chapter were revitalized this past week when members of the newly formed board and service ser-vice chairmen met to outline a concrete program for the coming year. Chairman of the chapter board is McRay Howard. Other officers include Robert White, vice chairman; Eula Gardner, secretary; Ward S. Robb, treasurer; Lor an Hirschi, Robet L. Gardner and Thomas Cardon, board members. Service chairmen include Reed Bradshaw, home service; EH Holyoak, home nursing; Dallen Williams, first aid; Charles Ratte, water safety; George Barrus, Klnsyl frwii Mmnnf f'T T Ci ty! Mrs. Watson Adams, blood procurement for Parowan; Royce Chamberlain, county fund chairman chair-man and Mr. Cloward, publicity. A board member from Parowan and the chairman of the junior Red Cross service and Disaster services las not yet been named, the chairman reported. Mr. Cloward reports that various vari-ous Red Cross, services are being carried out throughout Iron County. At an orientation meeting meet-ing Monday evening both old new chairmen of the serial services ser-vices made reports of the work that had been done during the past year. It was pointed out that many people in this area have been trained in home nursing, first aid, and water safety. Hundreds of pints of blood have been drawn to meet emergencies both locally and In other areas. A number of emergency services have been given to service men and others who have needed the help of the Red Cross. Local volunteer vol-unteer workers have spent hundreds hun-dreds of hours carrying out the many services of the chapter. At the meeting a vote of thanks was given to George Leigh, who has served as treasurer of the chapter during the past six years and Robert L. Gardner, who has boen the chapter chairman for the past two years. |
