Show A special tryout has been arranged ar-ranged for tonight through which numbers for the annual talent assembly at the high school will be selected. Considerable Consid-erable Interest In the tryouts has been In evidence and should result re-sult In an unusually fine assembly. as-sembly. Students of the high school staged a pep rally Wednesday afternoon before the Redmen basketball team left for St. George to meet the Enterprise Wolves in a regular league game. The Redmen wrestling team was defeated by a team from Millard High School of Fillmore this week. The meet was held in the local gymnasium. Next event 1 for the team will be the Region1 Ten wrestling meet to be held in Fillmore Saturday. The high school mixed chorus Is preparing for a public appear-; a nee on Feb. 24. The group will, provide music for the LDS Stake1 Conference on that day. 1 Speech and drama students are rehearshing for the annual play to be presented on March 6 and 1 7. They have selected the play "Dino," which Is based on Juvenile Juven-ile delinquency, for this year's presentation. Miss Shirley Sommers, girls physical education Instructor and Miss Merlene Shields, librarian, have organized a dancing group at the school known as "La Dancierres." The organization is composed of 24 sophomore girls at the school. Judy Walker has been selected president of the organization with Maureen Adams as secretary. |
