Show I Kay Smith Advances In US AC Cadet Role ll : 1 LT. COL, KAY SMITH Kay Smith, former Cedar City High School student and prominent prom-inent athlete, is currently attending at-tending the Utah State Agrlcul tural College at Logan where he is also a cadet lieutenant colonel col-onel in the Air Force ROTC unit there. Entering the U S A C In the fall as a cadet major Smith has been promoted to lieutenant colonel col-onel where he is assigned as a deputy wing commander. In this capacity his principle duties are to plan and oversee the training of cadets during drill periods. At the beginning of the spring quarter Smith will be assigned deputy for material where he will be responsible for all supply sup-ply matters pertaining to the cadet wing. During the summer Smith participated par-ticipated in the summer training unit at Fairchild Air Force Base and was awarded the highest rating of any U S A C cadet attending at-tending the program. , Kay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Smith of Cedar City and is married to the former form-er Bonnie Jones of Cedar City. |
