Show PARAGON AH NEWS NOTES By Nora Lund 1 We belatedly report that John Carl Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton, returned home Jan. 20 from Fort Lewis, Wash, where he has spent quite some time In the service. His two years of training have been spent at Fort Ord, Calif., Camp Carson, Colo., and Fort Lewis. Mrs. John C. Barton was taken to the Iron County Hispital Friday Fri-day evening, suffering from pneumonia. She returned Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Ethel Robb arrived home Saturday evening after spending the past month in Idaho Falls with her brother-in-law and sister, sis-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Robinson. Robin-son. She reports their health as much improved. Mrs. Robb spent Friday In Salt Lake City with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Robb. Dale Smith of Provo visited over the week end with his people, peo-ple, the Crane Jones family. Warren Smith, C S U student, was also here to visit with the family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson Robin-son were happy to have their entire family with them on Sat. urday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Robinson and three daughters of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Robinson and three sons of Parowan, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Robinson and son of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards Ed-wards and three children joined the group here for a birthday dinner honoring Dale. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux of Henderson, Nev. spent Saturday and Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Stones. Mrs. Lamoreaux and Mrs. Stones are sisters. Mrs. Ruth Boardman, Mrs. Catherine Dunton, Mrs. La sea Hunt, Mrs. Leah Jean Boardman, Mrs. Hannah Robinson and Mrs. Nora Lund, members of the ward Relief Society, attended the plays under the direction of Prof. Richard Rich-ard Rowley Saturday evening at the CSU auditorium in Cedar City Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hollingshead and family of Milford spent Sunday Sun-day here with Mr. and Mrs. Law. rence Dailey and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bettridge, and in Parowan with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dailey. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Barton and Scott Barton left Monday for Salt Lake City where Cecil will enter the hospital for major surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Dallen Williams of Cedar City spent a few days here with hd family, P.oy Mc-bride. Mc-bride. Mr. Williams returned Sat-urday Sat-urday from Salt Lake City with a group of fellow CSU students who had been to the capital city on school business. Mrs. Williams Wil-liams returned with him on Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund made a hurried business trip to Salt Lake City over the week end. Mrs. Lund's sister, Mrs. Charles Miller, returned with them Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Robb and family of Cedar City spent Saturday Sat-urday evening visiting their par-ents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Robb. Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robinson traveled to Beaver Sunday to attend at-tend the christening of. their Infant In-fant granddaughter, little Miss Barbara Manzlone, daughter of Gordon and Jeanine. Albert Jones of Henderson. Ne vada. visited with Mr. and Mrs Grant Jones and other relatives and friends over the week end. Mrs. Emma Topham spent a few days in the Iron County Hospital for medical treatment for a bad case of 'l"na. MyrI and Beth Gibson of Cedar City visited briefly with Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell on Sunday. Mrs. Mary Little of Little's Ranch vtslteJ relatives In town last week. J. M. Barton of Cedar City visited vis-ited Saturday evening with his brother Ted and family. Mrs. Idella Robinson spent I Friday In Summit with her .daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. D White. I Charles Murle and his aunt. Mrs. Zelma Robb, returned to Salt Lake City Tuesday for further fur-ther treatment for Churles, who underwent plastic surgery on his nose last week. The operation opera-tion seemed successful but complications com-plications have retarded his recovery, re-covery, and necessitates frequent I trips for treatment. Interesting news to relatives and friends here is the birth of a baby boy Tuesday, Jan. 29 to Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Thompson, of St. George. This Is their eighth child. Mrs. Thompson is the former Hazel Dailey of this community. Mrs. Roei.c Lund is conducting an upholstery class again this winter for Interested people. The class Is being held two nights a week at the school house. These classes are a part of the adult education program which are Indeed In-deed a benefit to those wishing to take advantage of further education edu-cation in different lines. |
