Show Marc-elles Celebrate First Birthday at Cedar High i Cedar High School's Drill Team, I The Marc-elles, will celebrate its first birthday on Saturday, Feb- ruary 9. The Marc-elles orlginat. ed as a dancing and marching group composed of twenty.foui w members of the Class of 1958. : This group was chosen on the ba-' ba-' sis of size and ability during ni 1 11 ' J fi o $ o 0 o 0 o 0 C 0 THE MARC-ELLES. The Marc-Elles, high stepping:, precision marching team at the Cedar City High School, will celebrate their first birthday Saturday, Feb. 9. Girls are led by Miss Sidney Reading of the school faculty. February of last year. The original orig-inal team is marching together at the present time. The Marc-elles have performed ! during half-time activities for Cedar High School and the Col lege of Southern Utah. They par-ticipated par-ticipated in the high school dance review and in the CSU Homecoming Parade. Some of the future performances these high-steppeis high-steppeis anticipate are the Junior Jun-ior Prom Assembly in March, a Lions Club Luncheon Show, and the Posture Parade at St. George in April. President Judy Lunt heads the Marc-elles with Jennie Gay Hall and Marilyn Brown at her side as vice president and secretary. The group also includes Deanna Dotson, Joann Nelson, Karen Fife, Carolyn Dalley, Rose Stephens, floye Crosby, Marlene Benson, Zoe Leone Palmer, Barbara Bauer, LaRue Bladen, Susan Adams, Clyda Porter. Pat Brunson, Diane Peterson, Karen Jones, Betty Joe Bauer. Shlrlee Hlrschi, Jackie Gordon, Linda Knell, Gail Craw, ford, and Bon! Bulloch. The Marc-elles Marc-elles are under the direction of Miss Sidney Reading. |
