GLADE HOLYOAK Double Ring Ceremony Unites Cheri Vorthen And Glade Holyoak in Friday Home Rites In a double-ring wedding ceremony, cere-mony, which was performed by Bishop Bruce D. Matheson of the Parowan First Ward, Miss Cheri Bernice Worthen and Joseph Glade Holyoak recited marriage vows, on Friday evening, May 29. The nuptial rites took place at the home of the bride's parents, early in the evening. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Worthern and Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Holyoak are parents of the bridegroom, all of whom are residents of Tarowan. That same evening the newly weds were honored at a reception hosted by the parents of the bride and held In the First-Second Ward recreation hall. For the occasion the bride wuie a full length f,own with semi-train of ' lace with an overskirt of taffeta and lace and bodice of lace with finger .tip sleeves. Her elbow length veil of tulle fell from a mall headpiece of lace and seed pearls. Her bouquet was of pink rosebuds and a small white flower. flow-er. Serving as maid of honor for ttm KHHa warn her aistrr. Miss Vlckl Lee Worthen, and bridesmaids brides-maids were Miss Christine Wor then, another sister; Miss Karen Mitchell, Las Vegas, and Miss Etta Worthen, cousin of the bride. Their bouquets were of pink mums with a white glamelia in center and tied with pink ribbon. rib-bon. All wore pink dresses of nylon sparkle. Standing as best man for his brother was Scott Holyoak. Ushers Ush-ers were Richard Van Ausdal and Clinton Bentley. The mother of the bride wore a blue dress covered with white lace and the mother of the bride-room bride-room wore an orchid dress and both wore corsages of white carnations car-nations centered with a white glamelia. To leave on her honeymoon the bride wore a white olton eyelet dress, white heeis win pink accessories. They spent the three-day honeymoon at the national na-tional parks of this area. The bride is a student of the Parowan High School and the bridegroom was a graduate of the high school at exercises on May 27, at which he was a student stu-dent speaker.. He will continue his studies at College of Southern South-ern Utah with the aid of a scholarship schol-arship he received for his activities activi-ties in the F F A organization. Featured during the reception was a short, mostly musical program pro-gram with the father of the bride as master of ceremonies, followed by dancing. |
