Show American Little League Expected To Be Tight lifter First Round Play Klwanis 2 1 .667 Rotary 1 1 .500 Milne 1 1 .500 Webster 1 2 .333 ORDINANCE AMENDED ZONING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REVISING THE PLANNING AND ZONING ORDINANCE OF CEDAR CITY, UTAH, DECEMBER 1961. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission Com-mission as duly appointed and designated for and in behalf of the municipal entity, CEDAR CITY CI-TY CORPORATION, has made certain Investigations, studies and recommendations on 100 East Street and with regard to the present use and future contemplated con-templated use and, WHEREAS, said investigations, studies and recommendations by 8jM Tlanning Commission aforesaid afore-said deem it to be In the best interest of the Municipal Corporation Corp-oration and the Inhabitants thereof to change, alter and amend the Residential Three Zone (R3 Zone) along 100 East Street as more specifically hereinafter here-inafter described to the Central Commercial Zone ((CC1 Zone) and thereby include the area hereinafter described and the land use permitted In the Central Cen-tral Commercial Zone. THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Cedar City, Utah: Section 1. That the Revised Planning and Zoning Ordinance for Cedar City, Utah, December 1961, be and the same Is hereby here-by amended, altered and changed to include the following described area along 100 East Street in Ine Central Commercial Zone (CC1 Zone), towit: Commencing at a point 43 feet North from SW corner lot 17, Block 37, Plat B, Cedar City Town Survey, south 356.50 feet more or less, to the center street. East along the center line of Center Street 427 feet; thence North 181.5 feet to a point 130 feet East from the northwest corner of lot 2, Block 33, Plat B, Cedar City Town Survey; thence West 179.-5 179.-5 feet more or less to a point In the center of 1st East Street; thence North 175 feet, thence West 247.5 feet to the place of beginning. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect twenty days after its publication or thirty days after Its passage, or whichever of said dates is the most remote from final passage. One of the tightest races in he history of the Cedar City American Ameri-can Little League seems to be in store this year. With play just a week old this season, each of the four teams have picked up at least one win and each has suffered at least one loss. After four games Monday, as a matter of fact, it was a four way tie with each team with a record of one win and one loss. Kiwanis Tuesday, Tues-day, however, picked up their second win to take over a slight lead. Webster Coal picked up their victory in the opening game of the season with a 10 to 8 victory over Rotary. Nolan Anderson was the winning pitcher in a relief effort for starter, Robin Haight. They allowed Just four hits to Rotary and Webster picked up five hits including doubles by Mike Savage and Lance Whetten. Greg Woods went the distance for Rotary suffering the loss. Kiwanis outlasted Milne In the second game of the season to pick up a 10 to 8 victory. Crea McMullin went all the way for the winners. Chris Bulloch belted belt-ed three doubles for Kiwanis In the winning effort. Frank Adams of Milne suffered the loss, however. how-ever. Tommy Higbee, Merrill Williams Wil-liams and Pat Majors all collected collect-ed doubles. In the tightest game of the season Rotary edged out K. wants 4 to 3 Friday evening. Kiwanis had six hits in the losing effort whle Rotary made three hits hold up for a victory. Charles Mosdell was the winner and Chris! Bulloch the loser. Crea McMullin homered and doubled in the losing effort for Kiwanis and Robert Bulloch homered and Bernie Leavitt doubled for Rotary- Milne bounded back from their Initial loss Monday evening to hand Webster Coal a defeat 16 to 6. Lyle Heyborne was the winning win-ning pitcher giving up only one hit to Webster. Robin Haight and Nolan Anderson pitched for Webster. Web-ster. Tuesday it was a marathon between Kiwanis and Webster with Kiwanis coming out on the long end of a 21 to 20 score. Kiwanis collected 18 hits including includ-ing two home runs by Crea McMullin, Mc-Mullin, one of which was a grand slam. Webster had 15 hits including in-cluding a home run by Mike Savage. Sa-vage. Webster sent Savage, Steven Ste-ven Brown and Ronnie Adams to the mound while Kiwanis had Jeff Carr, Kirk Lunt, Chris Bulloch Bul-loch and David Barrus pitching during the game. |
