Show NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Davenport Our five seniors graduated from the Cedar City High Lchool Tuesday evening of last week' where the Commencement Add-, ress was given by Oscar J. Hulet. 1 They are Richard Farrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow; 1 David Dalley, son of Bishop and 1 Mrs. Ivan Dalley; Dennis Dalley, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank j Dalley and Keith and Kent Hum-, pherys, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum L. Hum pherys. All I five of the boys left by plane the J last of the week for their six months of active training with the National Guard at Fort Ord, Calif. David left Friday morning for Salt Lake City to spend two days with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. I'on Dalley before going on to California. The other boys left the Cedar City airport Saturday afternoon for Salt Lake City and left there at noon Sunday. Miss Francis Farrow came from Mercury, Nev., to attend her brother, Richard's graduation. The Jay Riggs family came from Pangultch. to attend their nepnew s, uennis uaiiey, graduation. gradu-ation. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum L. Hum-pherys Hum-pherys enjoyed visits from their two daughters who reside in Salt Lake City. Patricia came Tuesday Tues-day for her brothers', Keith and Kent, graduation and Gall Ann was here for the holiday week end. Mrs. Carl Evans has returned1 home from the Valley View Mc-1 leal Center with her new baby daughter which was born May 25th. Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet served breakfast last Friday morning at her home to all the teachers and their partners of the Cedar City North Elementary School and to Superintendent and Mrs. Ianthus Wright and the office staff. Summit Ward Relief Society President Mary Dalley entertained entertain-ed all th Relief Society mem. 1 bers at her home Tuesday morning morn-ing of last week where the final lesson of the year was given by I.ois Farrow. This was combined with the closing social where visiting vi-siting was enjoyed and a delicious deli-cious luncheon was served by Mrs. Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Dalton and four daughters left here Satur day to spend the summer in Clr-cleville Clr-cleville where Mr. Dalton has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and daughter. Jerrle, who have been living in Tooele where Fred has taught school this past year wilt spend the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton of Indian Springs, Nev., spent the week enrl visiting here with Margie's Mar-gie's family,, the Raymond Farrows. Far-rows. I Mrs. Dee El Stapley entertained entertain-ed the Young Married group at 'her home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Max Rees and-' and-' sons, Ronnie, Larry and Dana, of ! Kaysville are spending a few j days here with Mrs. Rees parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Laurence. Memorial Day brought a number num-ber of former residents back to Summit. Mr. and Mrs. Leondus j Dalley and family were here ' from Delta. Several of the Chamberlains Cham-berlains were here during the . 'day. DeLynn came from Las 1 Vegas, Shirl was here from Hur-j Hur-j rlcane and Edgar was here from Cedar City along with some of tneir tamny memuers. I Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson of Las Vegas arrived here Saturday for an overnight visit. They wtre guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Mad-sen. Mad-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Maxwell and son, Douglas, of Salt Lake City visited here over the week end with LaRae's family, the I Jack Farrows. A sister, Shirley. I accompanied them when they returned re-turned home and will spend two-weeks two-weeks with another sister, Mrs. conley Adams and family la. Hunter. Mrs. Hulda Petersorrifcnjoyed' visits from two of her daughters-over daughters-over the week end. Mrs. Georgia. Matheson was here from Parowan Paro-wan and Mr. and Mrs. Glenru Williamson and girls were herefrom here-from Las Vegas. A brother act his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stuck! of Salt Lake City called uii ouiiuay. The Deo Whites enjoyed a visit vi-sit from Shirley's sister and family, fa-mily, the Gordon Manziones of Tooele. Maxine Dalley daughter of Bp. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley and Eugene Eu-gene Dalley, son of Mr. and Mrs. IJ. Frank Dalley graduated from 'the Cedar City Jr. High School. |
