Show Kent Baldwin Called On Mission, Farewell Sunday Nite U,-;:'-M y - , ' y f W I KENT ALLEN BALDWIN Kent Allen Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Baldwin of Cedar Cit. has been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve a mission mis-sion in the Central States Mission Mis-sion field. A farewell testimonial in his honor will be held Sunday, June 7 at 7 p. m. at the Cedar First Ward Chapel. Friends and relatives rela-tives are invited to attend. The missionary will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City June 15 preparatory to leaving for the field. Headquarters for the Central States Mission Is Independence, Inde-pendence, Mo. Baldwin graduated from Cedar City High School this past week. He also graduated from four years of LDS Seminary study. He was a speaker in the Seminary graduation exercises this year and served as president of the Seminary for the first half of the past school year. He has also been active In affairs af-fairs of the church, serving In various capacities in the Aaronic Prestihced. Speukeis at tlitr iC3tiCHiil will be Boyd Beagley, principal of the LDS Seminary and Bp. Lowoll Sherratt. Brief remarks will also be heard from the parents with a response by the missionary. Special musical numbers will include a vor ,1 solo "A Mormon 3oy," by Mitch Baldwin accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Beth Leigh and a vocal duet, "I Am a Mormon Missionary," by A. E. Whatcott and Britannia Durrant accompanied accom-panied by Ferry Baldwin. Invocation will be offered by Louis Hahne and the benediction will be by Donald Marchant. |
