Show Judged Best in Electric, Garden 4-H Club Projects Robert "Hank" Hassull, 18, 125 South Sixth St., Price, von the state award in the 4-11 par-den par-den project and Dennis Anderson, Ander-son, 10, 109 West Center, Providence, Provi-dence, is the electric project award winner, the Cooperative Extension Service recently announced. ' "'V',; i - Hank Haisell Dennis Anderson Hassell is attending Carbon College and has an avid interest in astronomy. Anderson is studying electrical engineering at Utah State University. As garden winner, Hank will be. the guest of A ! 1 is Chalmers Manufacturing Company, Farm Equipment Division, at the National 411 Club Congress. West in git ous e Educational Foundation donated Anderson's triD to the annual ever', which pets under way in Chicago Nov. 26. An eight year 411'cr, Hassell gardened a total of 33,273 square feet. His interest in gardening was deepened when he lived in Ithaca, N. Y., while his father was studying for his master's degree at Cornell University. There the lad had a chance to observe the scientific farming methods at the university. He and his father, a county agent, have operated a greenhouse adjoining their home. Young Hassell was both state and western regional winner of the National Junior Vegetable Growers' Association production and marketing contests. He has served as vice president of Carbon county 4 II Council and president of the local club. "Safe Home Wiring" was the prize-winning electrical demonstration demon-stration given by Anderson. He began making electrical demonstrations demon-strations in 1957. Last summer he worked as an electrician's helper, wired several homes and installed many outliis and vari-oui vari-oui types of lights. |
