Show Training Conference Held for New Kiwanis Leaders Members of the Cedar City Kiwanis Ki-wanis Club participated in a training conference Monday evening, conducted by newly plofto-j president Dixie Leavitt, and held for the purpose of announcing an-nouncing the program of activi-ity activi-ity for the 1UG2 year. President Leavitt will assume his new responsibilities at installation in-stallation ceremonies scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8 with Lt. Governor Gov-ernor of the Utah-Idaho District, MacRay Cloward of the Cedar City club, conducting . Projected programs for the year, aims and objectives of Kiwanis Ki-wanis International, Utah-Idaho District and the Cedar City club were explained by Leavitt. Also announced at the training conference were committee chairmen chair-men for the coming year and each chairman presented a brief sketch of proposed activities for 19G2. Leavitt also asked for a coordinated co-ordinated effoii of committees during the year in order that each committee will function at its fullest capacity. Report was also heard from secretary Charles Rasmussen, I who has served during the past I year and who will continue to I serve in that capacity for the next year. Prior to the club training conference con-ference Leavitt and Rasmussen attended a District Training Conference held in Salt Lake City at which time objectives of the national and district officers were projected to all club presidents presi-dents and secretaries of the Utah-Idaho district. |
