Show I LIVING IN THE ESGALAflTE VALLEY I Mrs. Georgia H. Moylt SPECIAL MEETINGS COUNCIL The regular yearly election of the coordinating council was held on Wednesday Dec. 6. Bry-ner Bry-ner Wood was elected to the office of-fice of president succeeding John McGary, with Arthur Piper as vice president. A. F. C. Escalante Valley Community Committee of the A. F. C. was held on the same evening. Boyd Christenson of New Castle was elected chairman with Larry Robinson Ro-binson as vice chairman and Tom Holland as member of the board. Y. Z. TRAIL The Y. Z. Trail meeting was held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, to discuss the setting up of the large sign that has been recently recent-ly painted by Mrs. Edith Force and Mrs. Madge Hunt. This sign will be installed at Modena proper pro-per west of the overpass . Those in attendance were Mrs. Alene Smith, vice president of this district; Mrs. Edith Force, advertising manager; Mrs. Miri-jam Miri-jam McGary, John McGary, Alfred Al-fred Force, Bryner1 and Alex Wood. LIONS President and Mrs. Warren Piatt, Mr. and Mrs. ' Joe Del-Vecchio, Del-Vecchio, Mr. and Mrs. Bryner Wood, Mrs. Miriam and son, John McGary, of the Escalante Valley, Val-ley, and district Gov. Don J. Ap-plegate Ap-plegate and Mrs. Applegate of Parowan, members at large of the Escalante Valley Lions, attended at-tended the Lions' quarterly zone meeting at Cedar Monday, Dec. 11. They were guests of the Cedar City Lions at their Ladies Night. RECEPTION A large crowd of friends and relatives were in attendance at a wedcing reception held in the Community Building, Saturday, Dec. 9, for Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hulet. Mrs. Hulet is the former Miss Judy DelVecchio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DelVecchio of Beryl, while Clair is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hulet of New Castle. Those In attendance enjoyed dancing and a program of which Uriah Jones was Master of Ceremonies. Cere-monies. I |
