Show A j JUDY ASHCROFT New College Ballroom Chosen Site Of Sigma Zeta Dance The new ballroom of the Student Stu-dent Union Building on the College Col-lege of Southern Utah campus will be put to its first use Friday Fri-day evening, Dec. 15 when the Sigma Zeta Phi fraternity presents pre-sents the "High Society Ball." This special dance, which the public has been invited to attend, will be in the form of a Christmas Christ-mas dance for the college with decorations to the theme of i, "Christmas in High Society." Named as queen of the High ' Society Ball, to reign over the ' activities and selected by mem-bers mem-bers of the fraternity will be Miss !; Judy Ashcroft, daughter of Mr. f and Mrs. Theron Ashcroft of Cell Ce-ll dar City. ) Miss Ashcroft was named as i queen of the ball in special bal- loting within the fraternity ear-! ear-! ly this week. As the fraternity's I queen she will receive a special ; Sigma Zeta Phi blazer, a rhine-, rhine-, stone crown and many other gifts 1 in behalf of the fraternity, ac-I ac-I cording to Roger Halterman of ; Cedar City, fraternity president. A special college orchestra has 1 been gathered together for the I "High Society Ball" to include U ; pieces. It is the largest orches-, orches-, tra to originate in this area, Hal-' Hal-' terman stated. ' Price of admission for the se-; se-; mi-formai event has been sot at i $1.75 per couple. Residents of the area have 1 been invited to attend and see ! the new facilities of the student center and to participate in the holiday festivities as well. |
