Wiliam H. Manning saw his first efforts grow into an annual highlight of Christmas in Cedar City for some 36 years. Prof. Manning is now an emeritus professor on the staff of the institution. in-stitution. December 17 Date This year the masterpiece has been dated for Sunday, Dec. 17 at 8 p. m. in the CSU auditorium. The combined musical talents of some 4.1 members of the orchestra, orches-tra, under the direction of Prof. Roy L. TO PRESENT "THE MESSIAH." This combined orchestra and chorus will pre- Christmas rendition. Soloist include compus and community vocalists Janice pi-, sen, Cleone Wilcken, Cynthia Williams, Lois Macfarlane, Her-schel Her-schel Neeley, Wallace Adams and Kent Myers. A slight innovation this year will he the rendition of a solo aria of great beauty 'The Trumpet Shall Sound."
