Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Nola Kupfer Birthday wishes were extended to Mrs. Leo Cahoon on Tuesday morning as Mrs. Kent Dover entertained en-tertained at Brunch in her honor. Members of the Birthday Club enjoyed fruit cup and coffee cake as they visited. To complete the morning Mrs. Cahoon was presented pre-sented a lovely gift from her friends. Guests over the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lehl Jones were Mrs. Jones' sisters Laree Porter and Beth Snow of St. George. Both ladies are attending at-tending the Summer Session at CSU. Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Harrison, daughter Lisa and Mrs. Harrison's Harri-son's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gray-land Gray-land Stone, spent the week end enjoying family reunions in Sci-pio Sci-pio and Salt Lake City. A pleasant week visiting family fam-ily and friends has been enjoyed enjoy-ed by Ellen Urie and small daughter of Salt Lake City. She has been at home with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bauer. From Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones and daughter are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Daniel M. Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Parry. Mr. and Mrs. Lin ford Orton are enjoying a June vacation In the beautiful Lake Tahoe area Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knell welcomed wel-comed son Bruce his fiance Bonnie Bon-nie Jean Pueblo on Tuesday as they arrived for a day's visit from Salt Lake City. Returning home with her brother was Trudy Knell, who had been in Salt Lake for MIA Conference. Mrs. Mario Stone with children chil-dren Bruce and Brenda spent the week end in Beaver with Mrs. Stone's parent, Mr. and Mrs. Martell Easton. The Cazanla Club was entertained enter-tained by Mrs. Gayle Evans on Wednesday evening. The ladies enjoyed sewing and visiting. Light refreshments were served by the hostess. Melissa Thorley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Thorley entertained en-tertained eighteen of her friends on Monday. The girls enjoyed a Treasure Hunt after which a birthday supper was served by Mrs. Thorley. Maureen Lunt received Birthday Birth-day wishes from Cazania club friends. Entertaining were June Thorley, Sylvia Chamberlain and Afton Topham. A gift was presented pre-sented Mrs. Lunt after which refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed. Home from California where she has taught the past year is Alyce Cane daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cane. The H. H. Club was entertained entertain-ed on Thursday by Mrs. Walter Merryweather. Program guest was Mrs. J. M. Roe Palmer who received Hucksley's "Brave New World." The ladies felt the evening even-ing was very outstanding and pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Higgins visited vis-ited in Ogden during the past week with her parents. A week visiting family and friends in Salt Lake City and Bountiful was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Challis. Mrs. A. J. Murdock and Mrs. L. Robert Gardner enjoyed attending at-tending the LDS Graduate nurse homecoming In Salt Lake City this past week. Spending the past week at the Don Draper home has been their daughter, Maxijie Webb and son Alan of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Vacationing in Ashtabula Ohio, are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Spevak and sons, John, Layne and Richard and daughter Lana, who joined them in Salt Lake City where she attends school. They will visit with Mr. Spevak's mother. Mrs. Thersa Spevak and then travel on to Detroit, Michigan Mich-igan where they will spend a few days with relatives before returning re-turning home. |
