Show CSU Receives Grant From flEC for X-Irradiation Study A special research contract to study the effects of X irradiation on the embryos of invertebrate animals has been lot to the College Col-lege of Southern Utah this week according to Dr. Roydon C. Braithwaite, Director. The research re-search work will be directed by staff member Dr. Wesley Larson for the Division of Biology and Medicine of the Atomic Energy Commission. The sum of $7,346 will be de-voted de-voted to the project by the AEC and the College. According to Dr. Larson the research will consist of giving stages of invertebrate embryos varying dossabes of X-irradiation. X-irradiation. The result will be to determine specific effects upon cells, tissues und enzyme systems of the embryos. Bulk of the grant will be to purchase new equipment for the project which will be housed in the bacteriology laboratory in the nearly completed CSU Science Center.
