Show 'Many Residents Travel to Logan to Witness Utah State University Graduation Activities j Commenivrrx-nt exercises at Utah State University in Logan last week was the occasion for a number of jteople from Paro-wan Paro-wan making the trip to the northern nor-thern Utah city to attend the various functions marking the nii of school at Utah State. Mr. and Mrs. Ancil J. Adams J and daughter Sharon were present pres-ent to see their son SjK'ncer D. , Adams receive his bachelor of .science degree in industrial education edu-cation and also to see their son-in son-in law, LcRoy Skidmore, Jr., re-tvivc re-tvivc his master's degree in art education. Mis. Skidmore is the former Miss Vilo Adams and they reside in Tooele where Leltoy is an instructor in the Tooele High .School. Spencer Adams will be .an instructor in industrial arts in ihe Davis school district when .school starts this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo llolyoak were pnsent to se their daughter, -Arlene get her bachelor of sci-ence sci-ence degree from the college of .family life at Utah State. Miss llolyoak will teach homemaking next .school year at the Valley High School at Orderville, and left during the we"k to work at the Utah Parks loge at Grand Canyon this summer. Also receiving her bachelor of ascienep degree from the college f family life at Saturday's commencement com-mencement was Miss Delores Alortensen with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W'immer Mortensen and her brother Jerry In attendance -t the graduation exercises. De-lares De-lares Is spending the summer at home with the famllly. Mr. and Mrs. Budd Munford .and their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joyn Munford were present to jaee their son. T,yrnan Munford .receive his bachelors degree In Industrial education, at Utah .State Saturday. Lyman and his wife and family will remain in Logan for the summer and then move to Ogden where Lyman will instruct In Industrial arts at the vOgden High School. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Orton were fn Logan for the graduation gradua-tion exercises Saturday where their son, Claude C. Orton receiv-tHl receiv-tHl his master's degree In physi-ral physi-ral education. The Ortons were joined at Provo by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene M. Orton who accompanied accompan-ied them to Logan. The Claude tl Ortons will remain in Logan most of the summer where they are the head residents at the Alerrill Dorm and then move to Duchesne in the fall where Chad I will teach physical education at the Duchesne High School, j George D. Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morris, received a degree from the school of engineering engi-neering at Utah State Saturday, and he and his family moved immediately im-mediately to Provo where he is now employed by the Bureau of Keclamauon on the Central Utah Project. Also among those receiving degrees de-grees at the Logan school Saturday Sat-urday were sons of former residents. resi-dents. They were Thomas Marion Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Adams of Cowley, Wyo. who received his master's degree in education, and Hay Morris Johnson, John-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson of Kaysville. Both are grandsons of Mrs. Luella R. Adams of this city. |
