Show Driving Tests Given Jaycee Road-e-o Entrees Today, Thursday, students In the .Cedar City High School and other Interested teen-agers who are partlcupatlng In the Teen-age Road-e-o, are taking written examinations ex-aminations as the first phase of the contest. The Teen-age road-e-o is designed de-signed to give the nation's young motorists an opportunity to prove and Improve their driving habits ha-bits and attitudes and to stimulate stim-ulate community activities in bigger and better high school driver education programs. Road-e-o is under the sponsorship sponsor-ship ot the Junior Chamber of Commerce with John Brown as chairman of the project. FinaJ phase of the Road-e-o. and most Interesting to most of the participants', is the testing of driving skills. This will be done on the parking lot of the College of Southern Utah fieldhouse Saturday Sat-urday morning. Time has been set for 9 o'clock. Winner of the Road-e-o will be determined from the two examinations, ex-aminations, the written and the driving. Winner will also be en-tered en-tered In the state Road e o and the state winner will in turn compete on a nationaj level, sponsored at the various levels by the equivalent Jaycee organizations. organi-zations. Last year on a national basis over a quarter of a million teenagers teen-agers participated and it is expected ex-pected that more will enter the contest this year. Scholarships are offered on the national contest con-test test totaling $3,000 including a $1500 scholarship for first place, $1000 for second and $500 for third.
