Show City Cancer Fund I Chief Prepares Canvass Kerry Jones, chairman of the Cedar City cancer fund raising drive announced today that organization or-ganization has been nearly completed com-pleted for the canvass of the City and of the businesses. The canvass will get underway on Tuesday, April 10 and continue contin-ue throughout the week until all homes and businesses have been contacted, he said. District chairmen have been selected and will direct the house to house canvasses in their respective re-spective loColCS. A!thCUh 2C!?V? district chairmen have not yet been selected most are appointed and have In turn organized for the district canvasses. A list of those who will serve as district chairmen includes Mrs. Broze Bulloch. Mrs. Joseph L. Perry, Mrs Rube Winterrose, Mrs.. Hunter Nelson, Therol Mc-Arthur. Mc-Arthur. Mrs. Tom Urle and Mrs. Howard Thorley. Dr. F. II. Petty will be In charge of the canvass of the business bus-iness district he said. The entire month of April has been proclaimed as Cancer Control Con-trol Month and throughout the nation the story of Cancer Is be-ing be-ing told and funds are being solicited for operation of the American Cancer Society. A good share of the money raised In Utah 'will remain In Utah through grants from the Society to principally the Uni versity of Utah plus some to the Utah State Agriculture College at Logan. In addition to soliciting funds the canvassers' will Jeave at each residence a pamohlet on Cancer Citizens have been encouraged to Tend this material and to particular par-ticular lenrn the seven danger signals' of Cancer. Those seven danger signals Include: In-clude: 1. Anv sore that does nnt heal. 2. A lump or thlrkenlnp. In the breast or elsewhere. 3 Unusual bleeding or discharge 4. Anv change In a wart or mnl 5. Persistent Indigestion or dlf-flcultv dlf-flcultv In swallowing. 6. Persistent Persis-tent hoarseness or cotih and. 7 Anv change In normal bowel hahlt.
