Show Application Deadline Reminder Issued by Kiwanians Applications have been rolling in this year from hopeful participants parti-cipants for the annual presentation presenta-tion of the Junior Talent Show,! staged by the Klwanis Club of Cedar City, according to Claude Dlx, chairman. Deadline for applications from aspirants has been set for Saturday, Sat-urday, April 7 at midnight It was pointed out by the chairman, however, that a number need not be finished before the applicant sends in his application. Auditions Audi-tions for the final numbers to appear on the program will not be until Saturday, April 14. This gives contestants an additional week to polish up their numbers. Applications have been sent to schools of the surrounding communities com-munities and the local schools' and Instructors have been encouraged en-couraged to have talented students stu-dents participate. Reason for the show Is to afford af-ford an opportunity for youthful youth-ful talent to participate before the public. A second purpose Is to give residents an opportunity opportuni-ty to see and hear our talented young people, Dlx said. The sixth annual Talent Show will be staged on April 26, in the beautiful College of Soutnern Utah auditorium, where lighting facilities and acoustics are more conducive to all numbers and particularly to special numbers of the show. Master of ceremonies this year will be Burns K. Sherratt, a Kl-wanlan, Kl-wanlan, who has proven himself at other functional such as the Miss Cedar City Contest. |
