Dee Wilckea Mrs. Pearl Haltcrman is spending spend-ing some time visiting in Salt Lake City with her son and and daughter-in-law, Mr. r.nd Mrs. Richard Halterman and family. fa-mily. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Myron S. Jones gathered at the home of tneir son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Matheson in Cedar City, to celebrate cele-brate Mr. and Mrs. Jones' birthdays, birth-days, March 3. A delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served and a lovely evening eve-ning was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Waurine Grimshaw traveled trav-eled to Salt Lake City on Tuesday Tues-day of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Elton Richardson. While there she will visit with her son Keith prior to his departure to the mission field. She will also spend some time visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stuck! in Kaysville, Utah. On Ctrday Mrs. Grimshaw's family fam-ily will also go to Salt Lake City to say goodbye to Keith as he loaves for the New Zealand Mission. Mis-sion. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Jones and three small daughters left Saturday Sat-urday for a trip to Blackfoot, Idaho. There they will spend a few days visiting Mr. Jones's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Matthews, and family. Mr. and Mrs. fcivin Murie and family spent last week end in Bountiful visiting with the Bryant Bry-ant Anderson family. They also stopped in Milford to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Murie and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lehl Jones atten-ed atten-ed MIA last Tuesday evening and presented to the Mutual stu- dy class some of the pictures taken tak-en while on their trip to Russia last year. They alao told many interesting things that should bring about a better understanding understand-ing of our neighbors across the ' seas. Several of the other MIA classes joined with the Mutual , Study class to see these interesting interest-ing slides. I Mr. and Mrs. Clark Maxwell journeyed to Salt Lake City last Wednesday. Mrs. Maxwell and son Douglas stayed at Mrs. Maxwell's Max-well's sister's home while Mr. Maxwell went on to Chicago by plane. Mrs. Maxwell's sister is Mrs. Conley Adams. Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson visited here and in Cedar City on Saturday and Sunday. They formerly lived in Enoch and now live in Alamo, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Arlen Grimshaw, ValDean Williams and Worth Grimshaw spent Sunday in Alamo, Ala-mo, Nev., visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Roland Anderson and family-Last Thursday morning Mrs. Elaine Nelson, and Mrs. Rua C. Jones of Enoch and Mrs. Edna! Brown of Parowan went to Salt) Lake City to attend meetings held for the women's auxiliary of the Farm Bureau. Mrs. Nelson Is president of the Iron County Women's Wo-men's Auxiliary, Mrs. Brown is vice president and Mrs. Jones is secretary. I Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell, their daughters Karlene and Mar-lene, Mar-lene, and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Nelson Nel-son left early last Saturday for an automobile trip to North Carolina. Caro-lina. They will meet Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell's son Gail at High Point, No. Carolina, where he will be released from the LDS Mission field. After meeting some if Gail's friends they will return home. They expect to be gone from 10 to 12 days. Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell also have another son, Gary, currently serving in the Australian Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nelson went 'o Salt Lake City Monday on Business. |
