Show I NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE By Norma Christensen The Trl-Valley stockholders banquet was held last Wednesday Wednes-day night In the Escalante Valley Val-ley Recreation building. A roast beef dinner was prepared and served by the Escalante Valley Women's Club. A business meeting meet-ing preceeding the banquet and a program followed. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christensen Christen-sen and daughter Beverly, and Mrs. Cassle Christensen journed-ed journed-ed to Salt Lake City last week end to attend the 40th annual meeting of the Intermountain Farmers Association. Marilyn Hu-let, Hu-let, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hulet rode up with them and visited in Santiquin at the Darwin Hulet home. Russell and Katherine visited at the Darwin Hulet home and also with Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Meacham of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. William Hart and family were Sunday visitors in Page, Ariz., and at the Glen Canyon Can-yon Dam. They also visited at the movie set in the Page area. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet and family were week end visitors vis-itors at the home of Nita Rae's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reb-er Reb-er in Mesquite, Nev. Billy Harrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harrison, visited at home over the week end with his I people, from Las Vegas, where he is employed. I Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbey of New Harmony were visitors this week at the home of their daughter daugh-ter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hulet Visiting at the George Beach-am Beach-am home over the week end was Carina's sister, Diane Taylor, and a friend from Salt Lake City. Miss Taylor is teaching school In Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bea Piatt and family and Miss Laureda Prince were Sunday Sun-day visitors in New Harmony at the home of James L. Prince, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prince and other family members. Mr. and Mrs. Calne Christensen Christen-sen of Las Vegas and Mrs. Frances Fran-ces Staheli of Enterprise visited briefly at the Boyd Christensen home Saturday. |
