Show Newlyweds Honored fit Open House Sat. Two of Parowan's young people peo-ple who were married some time ago, were honored at a open, house last Saturday evening with a large number of their friends and relatives calling on them during the evening. The honored couple were Mr. and Mrs. Hal Thornton, who were married in Las Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 5 and are now making their home in Parowan Mr. Ttiornton is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Thornton and Mrs. Thornton is th former Mis; J--daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bess, all of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Thornton hosted the open house and were assisted during the evening by members of both families. Coming Com-ing from out-of-town for the affair af-fair were Mr. and Mrs. Thornton's Thorn-ton's children, Mr. and Mrs. Val Yancey and two daughters of Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thornton and three daughters of Kanab, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Berry and three children of Cedar Ce-dar City. Also in attendance were Mr. and Mrs.. Ronald Bess of Beaver. |
