Show lones Receives Fullbright Teaching Grant j M. Robert Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jones, and his family fa-mily left via air Saturday tor Brazil, where he hts been selected select-ed as one of two undergraduate students at the University of Utah to participate in a Full-bright Full-bright teaching grant. Dr. Peter Gibbs of the Univer- sit; of Utah selected Jones and Richard Hills from the graduate! school to spend a year in San I Carlos, Brazil teaching under the ', grant On hand to see Mr. and Mrs. 1 Jones and his two children off for Brazil were his parents and I Mr. and Mrs. Ed Parry of Cedar j City, Mrs. Jones' parents. The grant applies from March of this year through March 1964. Jones will do light teaching duties du-ties In the field of English and will, in addition, participate in research In non-relativistic guan-tum guan-tum mechanics. He is a graduate of the University Uni-versity of Utah and holds an as-slstantshlp as-slstantshlp in addition to studying study-ing In the graduate school. |
