Show m High School Musical Presentation Pleases Many Patrons The musical "Oklahoma!" was presented to the students of Cedar Ce-dar High School by the music department of the high school. The production was presented earlier in the week to Jr. High and Elementary students as well as two evening performances of the musical for Cedar City patrons. pat-rons. Floyd Rigby portrayed "Cur-ley," "Cur-ley," the Oklahoma cowboy who is tamed by the stubborn farm girl, "Laurey Williams," played by Julie Yurgnsen. "Jud," acted by Brent Hunter, depicted the villianous farm hand whose ominous omi-nous threats are felt by the entire en-tire cast. Laurey's "Aunt Eller" was played by Barbara Cox. The comedy figures of the musical, "Will Parker" and "Ado Annie Carnes" were portrayed by Deon Porter and Janey Higbee. "Ado's n noa uaiui tfuiicrs. 1 lit; ptru- dler man "All Hakim," who got mixed up into everybody's problems, pro-blems, was acted by Clint Warby. "Gertie Cummins" was by Jean Misel, Brent Bulloch played "Ike Skldmore," Robert Smith was "Slim," and Darryl Ence was the "Marshall Cord Elam." Others In the principal roles were Suzane Woods, Mary Rosenberg, Verlene Terry and Louis Hahne. |
