Show Boy Scout Court oi Honor Sunday, March 24, Promises to be Outstanding Events in Area Cedar Breaks District, Boyi Scouts of America, will hold a court of honor Sunday, March 24 at the Cedar Stake House and it promises to be one of the outstading events in the history of scouting in the area. The occasion, among other things will bring to the district Floyd Loveridge, Boy Scout official offi-cial of the Utah National Parks Council, to appear as the featured fea-tured speaker. On that evening a total of 18 Eagle Scout awards will be presented pre-sented during the evening. Of that group 16 will be from Troop 347, of the Cedar Seventh Ward Two Eagle, Awards will go to members of Troop 333 of the Cedar First Ward. A picture and writeup of Troop 347 will appear in the March 21 edition of the Record. Receiving Eagle Awards from Troop 333 will be Dale Hanslnk, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hanslnk, and Keith Nelson, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nelson. Richard A. Olds, advancement chairman of the district, has commended the two boys on their accomplishments, and on their diligence in obtaining the rank of Eagle vertually on their own. "It is mostly through their personal per-sonal desire and Individual Interest In-terest that they have been able to accomplish the rigid requirements require-ments of the Eagle award," he pointed out. The closest of friends, Keith and Dale have worked together to meet the requirements and it is only fitting they will also receive the award together at the March court of honor, Olds commented. |
