HENRY KENT TERRY Mary firm Grimshaw ( Recites Vows ' In Salt Lake Temple j The Salt Lake LDS Temple was tlie setting Friday, February 19, for the marriage of Miss Mary Ann Grimshaw and Henry Kent Terry. A member of the temple presidency officiated. Rings were exchanged by the couple. j Parents of the couple are Mr. 1 urj Mrs. William R. Grimshaw, Enoch, and Mr. and Mrs. Alma . Terry, Enterprise. Witnessing the nuptial rites were fathers of the couple and 20 close friends. Friday, February 26th the new-lyweds new-lyweds were honored at a recep-1 tion held in Enoch at the Ward Cultural Hall. The reception included in-cluded dancing and a program , with Mrs. Glen Garfield serving as master of ceremonies. Airs. Garfield introduced six different numbers Including several vocal solos, a reading, a dance routine and a vocal duet. Participants on the program were Mr. Alma Terry, Mrs. Myron S. Jones, Mrs. Franklin Jones, Mr. Dewey Top- ham, Miss Gay Stucki, Mr. Elwin F. Armstrong and Mr. George D. Grimhaw. For her bridal attire the bride wore a self-made original gown of delustered satin witu Imported lace applique. The dress featured a boat-neck outlined with lace, lilly-polnt sleeves and a bustle in the back. A bridal illusion veil of elbow length was attached at-tached to a crown covered with Imported lace. Matron of honor was Mrs. Franklin Jones while Miss Julie Terry, Miss Trudy Jones, Miss Joan Grimshaw and Miss Gail Grimshaw served as bridesmaids. Miss Rose Bellany and Miss Louise Lou-ise Grimshaw were Junior bridesmaids. brides-maids. The attendants wore long sheath fashion costumes of natural na-tural colored iinen ana narmon-lzlng narmon-lzlng green linen hats with matching net Each wore a green-tipped carnation corsage. Best man was a brother of the bridegroom, Mr. Elmon Terry. Mr. Mitchell Schoppman and Mr. Wayne Grimshaw were ushers. I Guests at the reception enjoyed dancing to the music of the Enoch orchestra. Attending the guest book was Mrs. Hale Miller. Mrs. F. H. Grimshaw, Mrs. George U. Grimshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Sherratt were kitchen hostesses. Serving were Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Cox, Miss Nadine Dodge, Miss Carol Hafen, Miss Barbara Tuckett, Miss Vyonne Gibson and Miss Dorothy Grimshaw. Attending Attend-ing the gift room were Miss Rosalie Ro-salie GrimsNiw, Miss Geraldine Noakes, Miss Zola Mae Richardson Richard-son and Mrs. James H. Smith. After a honeymoon trip the couple are making a home in Magna, Utah, where Mr. Terry is teacning school. The bride is a Cedar City High School graduate. She has attended attend-ed Brigham Young University and has been active in church afiairs, having served as secretary secre-tary of the Sunday School and as MIA organist. Mr. Terry graduated grad-uated from College of Southern Utah and had previously served a two year mission for the LDS Chiin.il in lor. da. An open house was held in Enterpr.se Saturday, February 21, at tne home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's grandmother, Mrs. Henrietta Hen-rietta Day. |
