Show Scouts Make Appeal For Funds to Complete 1965 Drive An appeal has been made this week by officials of tne leaar; Breaks District Boy Scouts of America for funds to complete j the annual drive conducted in February for the operation of the program here. Over 1000 letters have been sent asking for contributions to1 the program In an effort to raise I $4,340 which it is estimated will be necessary to conduct the program pro-gram during the coming year. To date, $3,310 of this has been raised leaving just $1000 left to meet the needs of the District. Smcot Seaman, chairman of the finance committee points out that this is an expenditure of $5.40 for each of the more than 1000 boys in the district. This is compared to $12.50 per boy on a national basis. Contributions can be made to Mr. Seaman or to Pearce ShoUon, Cetlar Breaks District chairman. |
