Show Cooperative Ski School Offered At Brian Head I Through the cooperation of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce 1 and a group of business men in , the community a four-week ski I i school will be conducted at Brian j Head Ski Resort. In the interest of safety the pr;ia..i aas been undertaken, j headed by Dr. Garth Chatterley, to provide at a nominal fee ski instruction for young novices who are interested in participating participat-ing in tills popular winter spun. The instruction for boys and girls 10 to 18 years of age win I begin Saturday, March t, and will be conducted eacn Saturday for four weeks, provided weather permits. Snouui a wteu be iu.-ed iu.-ed owing to weather conditions it will continue the following week until all four scheduled ski les&ous nave been given. Cost of the instruction will be $6.00 for the entire lour week course. Transportation to and from the resort area will be pro-viaed pro-viaed tnrough tne businessmen, free of charge. A nominal rental fee has been established allowing allow-ing those who do not have their own equipment n participate. Rental of head skis, boots and poles will be $1.25 per lesson or $5 for the entire course. To participate students should register prior to Friday noon. A limit of 50 has been piaced on the school and it wul be based on a first come, lirst served basis. For those needing transportation transporta-tion a bus will leave trom the Union I'acific Railroad Depot at 7:30 a. m. Saturday morning, registered re-gistered students in the ski school will be allowed free transportation. trans-portation. Chaperones wul be turn. George Hartlemeier, instructor at Brian Head, will provide the lessons which will last approximately approx-imately one and one-half hours each Saturday morning during the instructional course. Those participating will be returned re-turned to Cedar City prior to noon each Saturday allowing them the opportunity to return to their homes for lunch. |
