Show ENOCH AMD MID VALLEY NEWS NOTES Mrs. Dee Wllcken Mr. and Mrs. Norman Grim-shaw Grim-shaw spent two days in Salt Lake City this past week working work-ing at the Genealogical Library. Mr. Grimshaw also attended meetings in Provo for the National Nation-al Letter Carriers Association. Lorin Jones made a trip to Salt Lake City on business Tuesday. Worth Grimshaw spent the week end here visiting with relatives re-latives and friends. He is the son ot Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Grimshaw. We are happy to welcome back into our community Mr. and Mrs. Clark Maxwell and family. They moved back Saturday from Salt Lake City where they have been living for the past lew months. Mrs. Elaine Nelson, Mrs. Veda Matneson, Mrs. Rua Jones and Mrs. Mary May Nelson traveled I to Salt Lake City on Thursday of last week to attend some women's wo-men's committee meetings of the Farm Bureau. They returned late Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Jones visited here over the week end. I They were here to attend the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Terry Friday evening. Mrs. Jones was matron of honor for the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Jones returned to Salt Lake City on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grimshaw left early Tuesday morning on a business trip to southern Califor-Inia. Califor-Inia. They will return home Fri-day Fri-day or Saturday. I Last Wpdnpsriav nlcrht iV. 'wan the Stake Quartette Festival was held in the lst-2nd Ward Chapel. Some very good quartettes quar-tettes participated. The winners In the Junior Division was a I mixed group from Enoch consisting consist-ing of Vyonne Gibson, Helen Pace, Keith Maxwell and Charles Ilea ton. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nelson and Mrs. Roice Nelson left here Saturday to go to Reno, Nev., to attend the funeral services for the baby of Willis and Shirley Gurr. Mrs. Gurr will be remembered remem-bered as the former Shirley Nelson. Nel-son. This is the second child Mr. and Mrs. Gurr have lost in the lad month. A wedding reception was held in the Enoch Cultural Center last Friday night for Mr. and Mrs. Kent Terry. Mrs. Terry is the former Aiary Ann Grimshaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Ran-dolph Grimshaw. The young couple cou-ple was married on February 19 in the Salt Lake Temple. An Open House was also held for them on Saturday evening in Enterprise. They are making a home in Magna where Mr. Terry teaches school. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanford Jones over the week end was their daughter t Trudy and her room mate, Gloria Wall. The girls are attending LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. They were here to attend the wedding reception for Mary Ann and Kent Terry. Also the Farewell Testimonial for Elder El-der Bill Nebeker. The Jones also had as their dinner guests Sun-duy. Sun-duy. Bill and two of his friends I from Salt Lake City., Marvin D. Gerstner and Mike Bowcott. |
