Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mr. Virginia Webster Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Jones entertained enter-tained two different groups at their home on Sunday, February 14th and Sunday, February 21st. Over 20 persons were present at each social to hear Mr. Lawrence R. Maxwell speak on his experiences experi-ences in Russia where he recently spent six months. J :. Maxwell showed slides of Moscow, Leningrad Lenin-grad and other areas and depicted depict-ed a general view of the Russian people and their culture. Don Blanchard, teacher at Col lege of Southern Utah, enjoyed having his parents visit here ith him from St. Anthony, Ida. BETA SIGMA PHI Thursday, February 25, members mem-bers of the Beta Sigma Phi met at the home of club president and acting hostess Carol Brown. The evening was spent listening to Burt Nichols give a rundown on skiing. Mr. Nichols told the group of the activities of Brian Head what had been accomplished accom-plished at the recreation site and of future plans for development develop-ment of the area. The guest speaker also gave the ladies tips on buying ski equipment and presented some ski equipment for closer observation. In attendance at the acrority gathering were Garfae Middleton, LaKue Gardner, Gard-ner, Marilynn Smith, Jerri Bulloch, Bul-loch, Carol Brown, Jerry Leigh, Jane Adams, Georgia Prlsbrey, Beth Brooksby arid Marilyn Bowman. Bow-man. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Nellson of Magna, Utah, stopped in Cedar City enroute to Las Vegas. While here Saturday, they visited at the home of Lynn's broilier-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Heyborne. Visitors in Cedar City at the John Nielsen residence have been Mr. and Mrs. Hale Hubbard and three children of Pocatello, Ida. The Hubbard family spent one week here during which time Mr. Hubbard and Mr. Nielson enjoyed skiing activities. |
