Show HERE AND THERE NOTES Mrs. Lona Watson has had as her house guests Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bowen and daughters from 'Salt Lake; Lt. and Mrs. James Watson from March Field, River-si River-si 1e, Calif. t Dr. and Mrs. P. K. Edmunds and family spent the week end in Salt Lake City on business and visiting with friends, and relatives. The Forrest Andersons have had as their house guests, Mrs. Anderson's mother and aunt from Sherman Oaks and Encino, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Mathews and family spent last week in Salt Lake City and Richfield visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Max Robinson and family spent last week visiting vis-iting in Payson with Mrs. Robinson's Robin-son's mother, Mrs. Zina Crandall. This week finds Mrs. Hattie Robinson as a house guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Robinson Rob-inson and family. Mrs. Robinson Is Max's mother. Mrs. Mary N. Bulloch, Mr. and Mrs. Melvln Bulloch and Miss Vickie Taylor left early Sunday morning for Topeka, Kan. to visit with Mrs. Bulloch's son-in-law and daughter, the Bert Klatts. Mrs. Klatt and daughter, Betty Jean, will return to Utah with her family for a visit with relatives rela-tives and friends while Capt. Klatt is in Africa for several months. Mr. and Mrs. ueorge uroaaea of Los Angeles are visiting with .the Ren Taylors at their ranch on Cedar Mountain. Mr. and Mrs. Orton Nelson and daughter, Joan, with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Carpenter and family left Sunday for a 10 day vacation vaca-tion in Utah and Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, former for-mer residents of Cedar City, are at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orton Or-ton Nelson for a visit with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Mullett and family have had as their house guests Mrs. Mullett's mother moth-er and father, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. King from Raymond, Canada. Mrs. Mullett accompanied them as far as Salt Lake City where they all attended the MIA convention. con-vention. Mr. and Mrs. King left for their home Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Milne have been visiting in Cedar City with their parents. Donald graduated grad-uated from the University of Utah in June and they are enroute to Los Angeles where Mr. Milne has accepted a position with the City of L. A. engineering department. Donald is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Milne, and Renee is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Halversen. Renee has been attending at-tending the University of Utah this winter also. Mrs. Therol McArthur and children chil-dren left Sunday morning to visit vis-it with friends and relatives in Salt Lake City and Tooele. Mrs. Ruth Cahoon returned on Sunday evening after spending a few days in Salt Lake City. While in Salt Lake Ruth visited with Mr. Cahoon's mother. She also attended the MIA convention. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Macfar-lane, Macfar-lane, accompanied by Miss Claudia Palmer, were week end visitors in Salt Lake City. Mr. Macfarlane went on business after af-ter which they visited with their daughter, Marilyn, who is employed em-ployed there. Miss Palmer remained re-mained in Bountiful to visit with her sister, avis ana her lamuy. Dr. and Mrs. O. Anderson have returned after having spent a few days in Monroe and Spring City. Dr. and Mrs. John F. Anderson and family were week-end visitors visit-ors at the home of Dr. and Mrs. 0. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Abplan-alp Abplan-alp have been in Provo where Mr. Abplanalp has been attending attend-ing classes at the BY U. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Felt have been visiting in Santaquin with Mrs. Felt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Clark, and in Springville with Mr. Felt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Felt. The Sunday evening group met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ver-nee Ver-nee C. Frame June 12 at 8 o'clock. o'-clock. A very interesting discussion discus-sion was held and refreshments were served to the following members: Mrs. Newel Wasden, Mrs. Forrest Anderson, Elwood Corry, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Lanell Lunt, Mr. and Mrs. Will Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Jones, Dr. and Mrs. P. K. Edmunds, Mr. and Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Palmer Pal-mer and one guest, Miss Mary Bastow. Lorraine Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Miller, is home after graduating from the Agricultural college in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Miller drove to Logan Lo-gan for Lorraine's graduation and then brought her home. She will spend the summer in Cedar City and will leave in the fall for West Covina, Calif., where she has accepted a teaching position in the elementary school this coming school year. Some members of the C S U Faculty and their families gathered gath-ered at the canyon ranch house and enjoyed a "pot luck supper." Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Matthews, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wahlquist, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Schmutz, Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Magleby, Mr. and Mrs. Max Robinson and Mr. Robinson's mother, Mrs. Hattie Robinson. |
