Show Beaver to Host State P BPWClub I Confab This Week 1 The 32nd annual convention of I the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs will be held In Beaver Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 17, 18 and 19. A host of delegates from the Cedar City unit are planning attendance at-tendance at the state meet, according ac-cording to Ellen Bulloch, presi-dent. presi-dent. The agenda for the three-day gathering of working woman from throughout the state is jam-packed jam-packed with special events and entertainment features. One of the highlights will be the canyon party Friday evening at which all of the represented clubs will present a skit. Featured speaker at the convention con-vention will be Margaret Wilkinson Wil-kinson of Memphis, Tenn., who is heading a nationwide drive for an all-time membership high in the national organization. She will appear on the agenda at the Saturday evening banquet to address ad-dress the group. Sunday noon at the final luncheon of the convention the principal speaker will be Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, director of the College of Southern Utah. Theme for the 32nd annual event will be "Better Citizens through knowledge and understanding." under-standing." Marcella Finlay, president pres-ident of the Utah State Federation, Federa-tion, has listed four purposes of the state convention. 1, To receive re-ceive reports of the officers and chairmen for the preceding year; 2, to act upon recommendations, resolutions and other business presented to the convention; 3, to adopt a budget, and 4, to transact tran-sact any other business affiliated affiliat-ed with the state organization. Award presentation will be made at the Saturday evening banquet and citations and cups awards will be presented at the closing session Sunday noon, it was reported. |
