Show Queen and Attendants Selected to Reign on 4th of July A queen and three attendants to reign over the race meet and amateur rodeo being arranged by the Red Hill Wranglers for July 4, were selected last week, according ac-cording to Clair Hulet, secretary of the Parowan horsemen's club. He states that they will also reign over other events on that day, also. Mary Gae Evans will be queen of the event with Eleanor Adams, Mary, Etta Stubbs and Aleen Holyoak as her attendants. Mary Gae was sponsored by Parowan Merc. Co., Eleanor by Smith Auto Service and Southern Utah Dairy Mary Etta by Miriams Dress Shop and Parowan Builder's Sup-ply Sup-ply and Aleen by Bank of Iron County. The way things are shaping up now there will be a full day of activity on Monday, July 4, beginning be-ginning with a daybreak salute nnd ending with a big dance open to everybody. In between plans are being made for a parade, pa-rade, a public meeting, the race meet and rodeo and sports for the children. The Wranglers are planning on a full afternoon of racing and rodeo events with five races to be set up, with the rodeo events scheduled between races. As usual us-ual a chariot race will be a feature fea-ture of the affair. The Wranglers have already got a fine bunch of calves for roping, and are assured as-sured of some good bucking stock with plenty of horses for the racing rac-ing program. |
