Show YVMIfl Annual Camp To Be Held July 6, 7. 8 Schedule of Events To Include Variety of Activities The annual girls camp of the Cedar Stake Young Women's Mutual Mu-tual Improvement Association will be held at Navajo Lake July 6-8, it was announced by Mrs. Dan Crawford, stake activity counselor. A wide variety of activities liave been planned for the three-day three-day outing, which will Involve about 200 girls and their leaders. lead-ers. A number of educational and recreational activities will be conducted by trained people from the Cedar City area. Included will be such crafts as leather work and basket weaving, directed direct-ed by experts In the field. There will be nature hikes and stargazing star-gazing under the direction of trained personnel. In the area of sports, there will "be hiking, Softball, horseshoes, volley ball and kick ball. A complete com-plete program of water sports will be part of the program, and will Include swimming, boating and surf-board riding. Life guards will be on duty at the lake, and waterfront safety will "be a part of the program. For the first evening a program or story-telling, group singing and sociability will be on the agenda. The second evening the program will be provided by the stake Y W M I A officers, and the girls will Invite parents and other guests to attend. Preparations for the camp are being completed under the direction direc-tion of Colleen Tucker and Mrs. Lois Rowley, stake Y W M I A sports directors. Officers and members of the stake . Young Men's MIA are assisting with construction and preparation of the camp site. |
