She said the word garden means in-closure. in-closure. Gardens should express the idea of the owners, they should represent a continued part of the home. The designs should be simple and easily cared for. Terraces add much to the enjoyment enjoy-ment of the garden in the backyard. back-yard. They should be close to the house and so built to add privacy pri-vacy to the garden and be a con- tinued part of the house. Front yards should not be cluttered clut-tered with shr,ubs and trees which will obstruct the front view. They should be placed on each side and act as a frame for the house. Questions and answers followed, follow-ed, after which delicious chiffon pie was served. A very worthwhile worth-while afternoon was spent by all. |
