Show Funeral Services Held Saturday For Paragonah Matron Funeral services were held in Paragonah Saturday for Mrs. Emily Reynolds Daily, 81, who died at her home in Paragonah on June 8 following a lingering illness. The services were conducted con-ducted by J. Orson Talbot of the ward bishopric. Speakers were Mrs. Barbara Adams of Parowan, Jennie Lamb of Toquerville and Victor Robinson, Robin-son, and Mrs. Alto Dalton gave a short sketch of the life of the deceased. Invocation was by William Wil-liam Boardman, benediction by T. A. Robinson, and the dedicatory dedica-tory prayer at the cemetery by Walter Robb. The musical program Included two songs, "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd," and "Abide With Me," by the choir, directed by D. Amasa Stones and accompanied by Wilma Lamoreaux at the organ; or-gan; a vocal solo by June Top-ham, Top-ham, a vocal duet by Rulon Barton Bar-ton and Doris McBride, a number by a male Quartet composed of Clair Rowley, Harold Mitchell, Amasa Stones and Wm. T. Davenport, Dav-enport, and a piano and violin duet by Elanche and Genevieve Lamb of Toquerville. Mrs. Daily was born in Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, Utah, Oct. 18, 1884, a daughter of Joslah and Elizabeth Ann Norton Reynolds, the 15th child of a family of 17. Daily in the Salt Lake Temple on Oct. 19, 1905. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Lola Hollings-head, Hollings-head, Milford; Lawrence and Mrs. Dorene Bettridge, Paragonah; Darwin and Mrs. Hazel Thompson, Thomp-son, St. George; 22 grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Top-ham, Top-ham, Mrs. Nora Barton, Paragonah, Paragon-ah, Mrs. Lilliam Walker, Panguitch; Pan-guitch; Mrs. Ellen Holyoak, Jerome, Jer-ome, Ariz., and one brother, Lynn Reynolds, Price, Utah. She was an active member of the Paragonah Ward Relief Society So-ciety until poor health forced her retirement. |
