Show Sixth Ward Prepares "It Never Rains" As MIA Fund Raiser The Sixth ward M. I. A. officers offi-cers announce that their April fund raising project for the new chapel and stake house, will be the presentation of a three-act play entitled "It Never Rains". The play will be presented at 8 p. m. Thursday, April 23, in the public school auditorium. Specialty Spe-cialty numbers will be given before be-fore the oneninc curtain and be tween the acts. The play is a delightful comedy com-edy of young love, written by Aurainia Rounerol. It is produced pro-duced by the entire Sixth ward and directed by Mrs. Emma Hair. A cast of seasoned performers has been selected for the presentation. presen-tation. It includes: Mabel Rogers portrayed by Zo-al Zo-al Knell; Henry Rogers, capably interpreted by Jim Condie; Forrest For-rest Terry romps through the carefree role of Jimmy Rogers. The suave sophisticate, Norleen Lears is Kay Clothier, and the sweet, demure but determined ingenue, Dorothy Donovan by Barbara Knell. Clara Donovan, the charming lady from Boston, Laree Crosley, and her husband Walter, Clark Rollins. o 1. - U. Three charming college girls will be portrayed by Laura Lee Crosby, Cros-by, Renee Gentry and Jeannette Rollins. Dane Lawson, the play's character of contention will be ably taken by Leo Larson, Sr. The specialty numbers will be presented by well-known entertainers, enter-tainers, Ralph Hafen, Jackie Wlnterrrvse and one other number num-ber to be announced lated. The play offers a full evening eve-ning of enjoyment and a laugh a minute. This evening of entertainment en-tertainment Is scheduled to include in-clude each member of the family, fam-ily, even the children will be held spellbound. |
