Elks Club Outlines "Little League" Park Development Representatives of the Cedar City Elks lodge will meet with the City Council this evening to request that the lodge be granted grant-ed the privilege of developing a section of the recreation park as a Little League baseball diamond. dia-mond. Under an announced plan for the development of the park, located lo-cated east of the city, the city welcomes cooperation of civic groups in undertaking improvement improve-ment projects, and will grant "exclusive rights" to any project on the park to groups willing to undertake them. The Elks will ask for permission permis-sion to build a Little League diamond in the southwest section of the park, and if the request is granted, will undertake a project pro-ject that will in a few years provide pro-vide one of the finest diamonds to be found anywhere. It will be located south of the present soft-ball soft-ball diamond. The Elks plan on spending about $500, and doing much extra work on the project this summer, and will continue to make improvements each year.
