Show Ten Men to Answer Selective Service Call in May Eight men from Iron county answered the call for induction into military service yesterday, and three others reported for pre-induction pre-induction physical examinations. On the same day the local Selective Se-lective Service bard received its May call for men, a larger quota than was asked for In April. Twenty men must report on May 21 under the latest call with half of them to report for induction induc-tion and the other half to report for their pre-induction physical examinations. Of the eight men ordered to report for induction this week, two were granted postponements until they complete the academic academ-ic school year. Both were Paro-wan Paro-wan men, Delmar Gurr and Ru-lon Ru-lon Lyman. The men who will begin their service immediately are Charles Peterson and Elvin Gifford, Cedar City; Verdell Robinson, Rob-inson, Paragonah; Joseph Earl Stapley, Summit; Ken V. Esplin, Kanarraville, and Cacadonio Du-ran, Du-ran, who has been making his home in Merced, Calif. Lyman and Gurr are expected to begin their tours of duty in June. |
