Mrs. Ida King to Head High School R-T.A. At a meeting of the Parowan high school Parent-Teachers Association As-sociation held last night in the school auditorium, an election was held to name officers of the association for the 1953-54 school year, with Mrs. Ida King being named as president, to succeed Mrs. Cecil Adams.. Mrs. LaRue Watson was elected as vice president presi-dent and Mrs. Gladys Benson as secretary and treasurer. Superintendent Ianthus Wright of the Iron County schools was speaker at the meeting and told of the district's building program, and of contemplated repairs to the Parowan elementary building. build-ing. He also gave a history of the school population in Parowan, and explained the financial position posi-tion of the district.
