Show Garden Club Notes (By Mrs. Mark Webster) Everyone loves a pleasant home surrounded with the beauty beau-ty that comes from flowers, trees and shrubs. A well landscaped home is always worth many hundreds of dollars more and is far more readily salable than one that stands bleak and bare. Real estate firms recognize this. Home owners find it out whenever when-ever they want to sell. We who cater to tourist trade will find we can secure the cream of the traveling public only If we have a clean, attractive attrac-tive city. Now is the time for home owners own-ers to look over their property with an eye to improvement. Money spent for flowing trees and shrubs will bring to us the enchantment of spring bursting blossoms and later loads of berries ber-ries for the birds. We have counted count-ed as high as 18 Robins feasting on one honeysuckue bush. Above all, let's remember "Beauty" Is good business. |
