Show Broncos Reap Team Honors in B Y U Track and Field Invitational Meet After competing in the first inter-conference meet of the track and field season the College of Southern Utah team returned from the Brigham Young University Univer-sity invitational with confidence that they will be in the running for the title this year. Although some of the northern papers stated that Idaho, meaning mean-ing Ricks Junior College, walk-ed walk-ed away with the junior college division of the invitational meet, still an unofficial tabulation of the results indicated that the Broncos would have won had team scores been kept on a 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 basis. Ricks tracksters captured five first places in the meet but the Bronco's were not far behind with four firsts and more seconds, thirds, fourths and fifths than the Idaho crew. These two teams dominated the junior college division, by far, but Snow and Weber were in there for a few points in a number num-ber of events. First places captured by the Broncos included the 200 and 220 yard dashes which Carl Graff won with a good time of 10 flat in the 100 and 22.9 in the 220. Gor- don Sargent won first in the javelin jav-elin and John Wood took first in the pole vault. Wood participated in the pole vault for the first time, It is understood. Prime for Next Meet The I C A Conference meet will be held at Westminster College in Salt Lake City on May 14, and Coach Dave Gates and his crew will be priming for that contest for the next two weeks.
